According to the customs officials, the recent verdict given by the court will especially affect the Bollywood celebrities. The officials said that the illegal imports of big foreign cars is still going on. The new ruling has come down ten years after the public policy on import of restricted automobiles was executed by (DGFT) Director General of Foreign Trade during the period of April 2000. This policy allows the passenger jeeps cars, MUVs, other vehicles of the restricted category to be imported without having a licence on payment of complete customs duty by individuals who come to India for permanent settlement after 2 years’ constant stay in abroad. The recent judgment of the Bombay high court has been passed by a bench comprising the justices V C Daga and R M Sawant. The judgement comes after the case where the importer of a car (which was worth over Rs 4 lakh) was an illiterate carpenter from the village of Andhra Pradesh and was working in Dubai on the baisis of labour visa. The carpenter called Ganji Malliah said that he was neither the owner nor had he imported any car. He told that that 2 Telgu-speaking persons had offered him five thousand rupees for using his passport to import light bulbs. The labourer had come back to India in October 2000.

BEIJING, Oct. 9 (Xinhua) -- China will strengthen its fast-growing postal industry, an official said on the 48th World Post Day on Monday.
The industry, mainly postal and courier services, has seen revenue increase 2.7 times since 2012, and the courier sector has been the world's largest in terms of delivery volume for three years, said Ma Junsheng, head of the State Post Bureau (SPB).
However, the industry is still facing problems in many fields, including delivery channel safety, vehicles and employee interests, Ma said.
To make the industry stronger, the bureau expects postal and courier companies to expand personalized, professional and one-stop services, Ma said.
SPB will encourage companies to become comprehensive logistical operators and increase their presence overseas, he added.
It will also support state-owned enterprises in railway and civil aviation sectors to join the delivery market to integrate the postal industry with the transportation network, Ma said.
In 2016, delivery volume of China's courier sector accounted for more than 40 percent of the world's total with 60 percent of world delivery volume growth.

Chinese Ambassador to Denmark Deng Ying, representatives of the Danish Navy, and overseas Chinese in Denmark, attended a farewell ceremony at Nordhavn harbor in the Danish capital.
The fleet, which comprised the guided-missile frigates Huanggang and Yangzhou, and the supply ship Gaoyouhu, made port calls at Nordhavn harbor on Monday, the second time Chinese naval ships have paid an official visit to Denmark.
During the visit, Chinese naval servicemen and their Danish counterparts visited each other's warships and held a football match friendly. The vessels were also open to the local on Monday.
